White House clarification: ‘Computer-based models and blind trust’
The White House has clarified its stand on the allegations of large-scale trading and possible conflict of interest in the President’s portfolio. A White House spokesperson said President Trump’s holdings are managed by third-party independent investment managers under discretionary accounts. The trading operates under computer-based algorithmic models and index replication (such as the Schwab 1000 index). There is no direct interference or input from the President or his family in this.
