Discussion on Kejriwal's confidence motion today, CM may appear in court today, ED sent 5 summons

The confidence motion of Kejriwal government will be discussed in the Assembly at 11 am in Delhi. Chief Minister Kejriwal presented a confidence motion in the Assembly for the third time. Kejriwal had said that BJP wants to topple the government by arresting him. He has accused BJP of horse-trading. He said that our MLAs have been given an offer of Rs 25 crore each.

Speaker Ram Niwas Goyal adjourned the House on Thursday after accepting the confidence motion. He said that this trust proposal will be discussed on Saturday. Kejriwal had earlier presented trust motion in the Assembly in March 2023 and August 2022.CM Kejriwal had presented a motion for trust vote in the Assembly on Friday.  (File photo PTI)

Today Kejriwal has to appear in Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court. A petition was filed in the court when Kejriwal did not appear despite 5 summons of ED in the liquor scam. On February 14, the court had issued summons to Kejriwal and directed him to appear on February 17. Soon after this, ED issued the sixth summons to Kejriwal and called him for questioning on 19 February.

While presenting the no-confidence motion in the Assembly, Kejriwal said that BJP is running Operation Lotus in Delhi. He contacted 2 MLAs of our party and claimed that Kejriwal will be arrested soon.

BJP people told both the MLAs that 21 other AAP MLAs are in touch with them and are ready to leave the party. He has been given an offer of Rs 25-25 crore. However, when we asked the MLAs, we came to know that they had contacted 7 MLAs.
