Significance of Vivekananda Rock Memorial
The place where PM is meditating is situated on a small island. It is one of the important tourist places of Kanyakumari. Swamiji had meditated for 3 days at this place in 1892. Vivekananda Mandapam and Sripad Mandapam are situated in this rock memorial. There is also a huge statue of Swami Vivekananda at this place. The best time to visit this tourist place is between October to March.
