Under the Special Intensive Revision Program of Voter List in Jharkhand, Dhanbad district administration has decided to accelerate the mapping work. Considering 01 October 2026 as the qualifying date, the instructions of the Election Commission are being followed.

Till now only 61.82% voters have been mapped in the district. With the aim of making it 100 percent, the list of ‘unmapped voters’ will be published at all polling stations on May 23.

How to ensure mapping?

The administration has clarified that if your name is still in the unmapped list, then you should follow the steps given below:

  • Contact with BLO: The name of the concerned BLO and his mobile number will be mentioned in the published list. You can contact them directly.

  • Keep documents ready: Voters should keep the necessary identity documents and declaration form ready with them along with ‘Unmapped Voter Enumeration Form’.

  • Purpose of the list: BLOs will be given a copy of the unmapped list so that they can finalize the list by identifying absent, shifted, dead or duplicate voters.

The District Election Office has urged all the voters to visit the polling stations in their area and check the list and if their name is unmapped, then complete the mapping process immediately. Without public participation, it is not possible to completely update the voter list, so cooperate in this work by using your democratic rights.
