News India Live, Digital Desk: Crispy Sabudana Chips: As soon as the rainy season arrives, the desire to eat some spicy tea and some spicy and crispy food with it becomes intensified. In such a situation, samosas or pakoras are a common option, but if you want to make something different and extremely tasty, then the crispy sago chips made at home can make your evening special. It is very easy to make and can compete with any readymade chips in taste. So let’s know how they can be prepared. To make this delicious dish, the sago should first be softened by soaking it in water overnight. When the sago swells well till morning, then mash the boiled potatoes and mix it. Now it is the turn of spices, which will give these chips a spicy taste. Add rock salt (if eating fasting) or normal salt, a little pepper and ground cumin seeds in taste. You can also add finely chopped green chillies to your choice so that a pungency can come. Mix all these ingredients together and knead like a flour so that a soft mixture is ready. Make small doughs of this mixture and with the help of plastic or perch paper, roll it like a thin papdi. Keep in mind, the thin papdi, the more crispy chips will become. After rolling, you can cut it into round or square shape as per your choice. Now the most important step comes – dry them. Allow these papadis to dry well for 2-3 days in strong sunlight. If there is no sunshine, then they can be dried under the fan, but it may take a little longer. It is very important to allow them to dry completely so that they can become well crispy while frying and there is no moisture at all. When these chips dry up well and become hard, they just remain frying till they become golden and kind in hot oil. After frying, take them out on the tissue paper so that excess oil is removed. Your homemade delicious and crispy sago chips are ready. Now enjoy them with hot tea and enjoy the rainy season!
