What is the whole matter?

He has said that Kamal Haasan’s statement hurts the feelings of Kannada speakers and creates tension between Tamil and Kannada people. The complaint also states that whenever a Tamil film is released, statements are made that hurt the self -esteem of the Kannada people and disturb peace between the two communities. A police officer said that he has received a complaint, but no FIR has been registered so far. It is reported that legal advice is being taken, after which further action will be taken.

The KFCC president said that Kamal Haasan should apologize.
Talking to reporters after a meeting with industry celebrities, KFCC President M Narasimhalu said that the Chamber officials are trying to meet and interact with them. Many Kannada groups have demanded a ban on their film. So we met and discussed the issue. We have decided that they should apologize. Narasimhalu said, “We agree that what he did was wrong and we are trying to meet and talk to him.”

If Hassan does not apologize, the film will not be released in Karnataka.
Former KFCC president Sa Ra Govindu said that if Haasan does not apologize till tomorrow, KFCC will not allow the film to be released in Karnataka. Govindu said, “We have no sympathy with Kamal Haasan. If he does not apologize in public today or tomorrow, we will support Kannada workers and strongly oppose. Until he publicly apologizes, we will not allow the film to be released under any circumstances.”

Actress Jayamala, who was the president of KFCC from 2008 to 2010, said, “Whenever there is a language dispute, it is our duty to unite as Kannada people. Kamal Haasan said it deliberately or unknowingly, her statement was wrong. Kannada language has not come from Tamil.” He also said that instead of justifying any mistake, there is nothing wrong in expressing regret for him.
