Bangladesh: Minorities are being targeted since the change of government in Bangladesh. A Hindu priest has been arrested in Chittagong, Bangladesh, days after the arrest of spiritual leader Chinmoy Krishna Das. The arrested priest has been identified as Shyam Das Prabhu, who had reportedly visited Chinmoy Krishna Das in jail.
Police arrested Shyam Das Prabhu
According to sources, these arrests have been made without any official warrant. ISKCON Kolkata vice president and spokesperson Radharaman Das also posted on the social media platform. In which he said, ‘Another celibate Shyam Das Prabhu was arrested by Chittagong Police today.’
Court refused to grant bail
Hindu priest Chinmay Krishna Das, a former member of Bangladesh’s International Society of Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), was arrested on Monday on treason charges. He was refused bail on Tuesday.
Hindu temples have been targeted by extremists since the change of government in Bangladesh. Hindu temples are being attacked continuously.
