The government has issued an official notification, with which preparations to start the census process across the country have intensified. According to the plan, the first phase of the census will be conducted between April 1 and September 30 this year. This campaign will be run simultaneously in all the states and union territories of the country.

For the first time in the 2027 census, caste related information will also be collected from the citizens of the country. There was a delay for the first time in history due to Covid

But, for the first time in the history of independent India, the census to be held in 2021 had to be postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Earlier, the slogan of the 15th census conducted in 2011 was “Our census, our future”.
