During police interrogation, accused Shyam Sundar told that he had brought the said illegal country-made pistol from Virendra alias Veeru, resident of Garam Patti Hodal. Police also arrested Virendra alias Veeru on charges of selling illegal weapons. When the criminal record of accused Virendra was scrutinized, a total of three cases including two cases of robbery and liquor smuggling in Karnal and Hodal were registered against him, whereas a case was registered against accused Shyam Sundar in connection with blocking the National Highway.
