BJP leader Pramod Yadav shot dead in Jaunpur, had contested elections against Dhananjay Singh's wife

Jaunpur: BJP leader Pramod Yadav was shot dead in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. The incident is being reported near Bodhapur turn of Baksa police station area. It is being told that Pramod Yadav was the BJP candidate from Malhani assembly constituency in 2012. Police has reached the spot. The case is being investigated.

Pramod Yadav left home in his four-wheeler at around ten in the morning. As soon as he reached near the village turn on the Rae Bareli-Jaunpur road, three men on a motorcycle came and shot him. The bullet hit him in the chest. In injured condition, the family took him to the district hospital for treatment, where he died. Police force is deployed at the incident site. The reason for the incident has not been clear yet.

In 2012, BJP had declared Pramod Yadav as its candidate, but his nomination papers were rejected. At that time Dhananjay Singh's wife Jagriti had contested the elections as an independent candidate.
