New Delhi. A big and shocking change has come to light on the fourth day of the ongoing Mahakumbh of technology i.e. ‘India AI Impact Summit 2026’ in the country’s capital. Today in Bharat Mandapam, the whole world’s eyes were on Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, but news has come that Bill Gates will not give his scheduled keynote speech today. The organizers have informed about this major change in the schedule this morning itself.
Why did Bill Gates step back? Who will take charge now?
A statement issued by the organizers said that this decision has been taken to maintain focus on the ‘key priorities’ of the program. However, the Gates Foundation will not be missing from this mega conference. In place of Bill Gates, Ankur Vora, President of the Foundation’s Africa and India offices, will now take charge. Vora will address the summit this afternoon, where he will highlight the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the fields of health, education and social development.
PM Modi’s voice will echo at 10:25 am
Even if Bill Gates is not on the stage, the excitement of the summit is not going to diminish. Today is also a historic day because Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself will be present in the Bharat Mandapam. Union IT and Electronics Minister Ashwini Vaishnav will inaugurate the session, after which PM Modi will address the country and the world at 10:25 am. According to sources, in his speech, PM Modi can talk about India’s ‘Sovereign AI’ vision and the achievements of the three indigenous AI models launched yesterday.
From Ambani to Altman… a fair of stalwarts will be held today
On the fourth day of the summit, there will be a gathering of global tech leaders in Bharat Mandapam. Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani and Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, which has revolutionized the world of AI, will also be specially present today. These veteran leaders will brainstorm on the global impact of AI, future challenges and India’s growing threat in this field.
