Big infiltration plot foiled in Kupwara, Army kills 2 terrorists on LoC:

News India Live, Digital Desk: The security forces, showing great alertness, have foiled an infiltration attempt on the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir. Two terrorists have been killed in an encounter in Keran sector. Army’s Chinar Corps gave this information on Saturday, 8 November 2025, after which the search operation has been intensified in the entire area.

‘Operation Pimple’ on intelligence

Army officials said that on November 7, they had received concrete information from intelligence agencies that some terrorists were planning to enter the Indian border through Keran sector. As soon as this information was received, the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police jointly conducted a joint operation, which was codenamed “Operation Pimple”.

Army troops were already on alert in the area. Meanwhile, the soldiers deployed near LoC noticed some suspicious movement. When he challenged the intruders to stop, the terrorists from the other side started firing indiscriminately at him. In response, the security forces also immediately took charge and retaliated, after which an encounter started from both the sides.

Giving information on social media platform ‘X’, Chinar Corps said that after establishing contact with the infiltrators, they were surrounded. On Saturday morning, the army confirmed that two terrorists have been killed in this operation.

At present, the entire area has been cordoned off and an intensive search operation is being conducted to ensure that no more terrorists are hiding there. This quick action of the security forces has foiled another big conspiracy to disturb peace from across the border.
