News India Live, Digital Desk: No matter how modern we Indians become, when our mind gets troubled or the complications in life increase, we definitely remember the ‘abode of God’ i.e. some pilgrimage place. Be it Kedarnath, Vrindavan or Jagannath Puri, there is a different race to visit these places. But, do we really understand the meaning of pilgrimage? Or have we made this just a ‘weekend trip’?
Famous saints of Vrindavan Premanand Maharaj Recently, in his satsang, he has said some such things on the importance of pilgrimage and the rules of going there, which every devotee should hear. His words may seem bitter, but they will open your eyes.
Why is pilgrimage important?
Premanand ji tells that pilgrimage sites are the places of penance for saints. Every nook and cranny there is filled with God’s energy. When we go there, not only the place changes, but the negativity within us also changes. Maharaj Ji says that mere darshan of the pilgrimage has the power to burn away the sins of millions of our births.
When you step into the abode of God, away from the worries of home, family and office, your mind automatically starts becoming calm and pure. If you do not feel like worshiping, then pilgrimage is such a “medicine” that can connect your mind with God.
Attention Are you also making this mistake?
But, here Maharaj ji “Red Alert” That means a warning has also been given.
It is often seen that people do not give up their old habits even after visiting pilgrimage places. Going there and joking, talking here and there, eating wrong food or taking drugs… all this is becoming common. Premanand Maharaj says, “Don’t make a pilgrimage a picnic spot.”
He has said a very deep thing- ‘Vajralep’,
This means, if you commit sins at home or at any ordinary place, they can be washed away by going to a pilgrimage. But if you commit sin or wrongdoing by going to a holy place like a pilgrimage, then it becomes ‘written in stone’. It is almost impossible to wash it off. Therefore, while going on pilgrimage, it is very important to control not only the body but also the mind and speech.
How to do the right pilgrimage?
Premanand ji advises that whenever you go to any Dham, go there with reverence and humility. Respect the trees, plants, dust and the people living there. Don’t spend time just taking photos or making reels, but take a few moments to close your eyes and feel the vibes of the place.
If after going there your mind remains trapped in someone’s condemnation, anger or lust, then understand that the result of your journey is ‘zero’.
So friends, next time whenever you pack your bag for any temple or pilgrimage, keep these words of Premanand ji in mind. The journey should not be of the body but of the soul.
