Madalsa, daughter-in-law of veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty and daughter of actress Sheela Sharma, had played a successful innings in the South film industry before entering the world of TV. But very few people know why Madalsa left a successful career midway and turned towards Hindi cinema and TV.
In a recent interview, Madalsa has finally revealed this secret. He told that he had to face some bad experiences in the South Film Industry, due to which he decided not to work there.
When a conversation got uncomfortable
Madalsa Sharma revealed that she faced things like casting couch in the industry. She said, “Some of my experiences there were not pleasant. I felt that I would not be able to take that path.” When he was asked further about this, he said that these were related to wrong kind of proposals.
Recalling her experience, Madalsa said, “I was a little disappointed in the South. Nothing major happened, but one conversation made me very uncomfortable.” At that time she was only 17 years old. The actress said, “I don’t remember exactly what it was, it’s been a few years. But I remember that I felt very uncomfortable and I walked out of there straight away. I said to myself, let’s go back to Mumbai now.”
“Can’t compromise on my principles”
Madalsa made it clear that everyone has a goal, but she is not ready to compromise at any cost to achieve her goal. He said, “I also have goals, ambitions, everything, but not so much that I let them dominate me. What I want, what I don’t want and at what cost, my decisions are always based on this.”
Madalsa started her career in 2009 with the Telugu film ‘Fitting Master’ and worked in many successful South films. After this she turned to Bollywood and then the TV show ‘Anupama’, where the character of Kavya took her to new heights. His revelation once again highlights the dark side of the film industry that many young artists have to face in their initial days.
