Answer sought for not giving appointment to ex-serviceman even after selection

Jaipur, 17 February (HS). Rajasthan High Court has sought answers from the Education Secretary, Director of Elementary Education and Staff Selection Board on not appointing an ex-serviceman even after being selected in Teacher Recruitment-2022 and canceling his selection. Along with this, the court has asked to keep one post vacant for the petitioner. A single bench of Justice Ganesh Ram Meena gave this order while conducting preliminary hearing on the petition of Rameshwar Jat. The court has asked these officers why the petitioner's selection was canceled without giving any reason and why he was not even given a chance to be heard.

In the petition, advocate Rampratap Saini told the court that Rajasthan Staff Selection Board had invited applications for teacher recruitment level-2 for Hindi and other subjects in the year 2022. The selection list was released by the selection board on September 9. In which the petitioner was selected in the OBC ex-serviceman category. Later, he was also allotted Sirohi district for appointment on 15 September. It was said in the petition that after this the appointment of the petitioner was canceled and he was also refused to be posted. During this period, the petitioner was neither given the reason for cancellation of appointment nor was he given an opportunity of being heard. Whereas the marks of the petitioner are more than the cut off of his category. While hearing the matter, the single bench has issued notice to the concerned officers and sought their reply.
