Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) has signed a deal with 108-year-old American dairy 'Michigan Milk Producers Association' to sell Amul brand milk in the US. GCMMF Managing Director Jayen Mehta announced this at the annual meeting of the cooperative society. This is the first time that the Amul brand fresh milk range is being launched outside India in markets like the US. A large number of people of Indian origin live in America.
Amul milk will be available in such packaging
Amul milk will be sold in one gallon (3.8 litre) and half gallon (1.9 litre) packs in the US. Amul Gold brand with 6% fat, Amul Shakti brand with 4.5% fat, Amul Taj with 3% fat and Amul Slim brand with 2% fat will be sold in America. These brands will currently be sold in the East Coast and Midwest markets.
