Amrit Bharat Trains: Passengers of North Bihar including Muzaffarpur will get the gift of two Amrit Bharat trains. The route of both has not been decided yet. At present, to deal with the heavy crowd, there is a plan to run these trains on the Kolkata-Howrah route. Railway officials have started preparations to run this train.
The weekly Tirhut Express and Muzaffarpur-Howrah Jansadharan Express running between Muzaffarpur and Kolkata will be renamed as Amrit Bharat Train. Its preparation was going on for two years, but Chennai Coach Factory has increased the production, so this train will be run for the convenience of the passengers.
Regarding its preparation, Sonpur DRM has given necessary instructions by holding a meeting with the coaching depot officer of Muzaffarpur-Barauni and supervisors of all carriages and wagons. He has asked to first repair the OHE at the washing pit.
Let us tell you that there is a plan to run 11 Amrit Bharat trains and Vande Bharat trains from all the divisions of East Central Railway. Senior railway officials are busy preparing for this.
Preparation of washing pit as per Amrit Bharat train
To run Amrit Bharat train from Muzaffarpur, first of all orders have been given to prepare a washing pit. Engines are installed on both sides of this train, hence washing pit number one of Muzaffarpur Junction has been chosen for this. 25 thousand volt overhead (OHE) electric wire will be run there. After its installation the vehicle will reach the washing pit. There is no OHE at the washing pit, as there can be a danger of electric shock during washing, so the racks are taken there by diesel engine.
However, OHE will be installed at the pit for washing Amrit Bharat train. For this, OHE Engineer KD Prasad has been asked to be deployed soon. On Tuesday, the OHE officer, along with the electricity department, prepared a map for installing OHE at washing pit number one of the junction.
OHE power to the washing pit will remain off for seven hours during washing.
Washing of Amrit Bharat train will take about seven hours. There will be six hours for washing the coach and one hour for washing the engine. At the time of washing, OHE power will be switched off for this period. There will be a trial of lighting etc. at the time of washing and electricity will be supplied again at that time.
