News India Live, Digital Desk: As a major step for a clean digital infrastructure, Indian Railways has introduced an AI-managed bot mitigation system to fight against unfair ticket booking. How is AI system cleaning ticketing
During the first five minutes of immediate booking, about half came from traffic bots, often associated with agents. The new system detects such traffic in real time and prevents it before obstructing access to real users.
According to the data shared by PIB Delhi, this bot-filtering upgrade has been paired with a major content delivery network (CDN) to improve page load time. About 87 percent of the stable material now loaded rapidly, which reduces pressure on the core server.
This system does not only stop the bot. It also marks an account with suspected pattern and excludes them. As a result, IRCTC has blocked around 2.5 million user IDs due to activity like Bot.
Aadhaar check for early ticket to get tickets
New ticketing rules have been introduced to add another layer of fairness. Those who link their Aadhaar to IRCTC can book immediate or premium Tatkal tickets immediately. Others have to wait for three days after registration before reaching those booking windows.
This helps in reducing the misuse of newly created fake accounts. And this gives verified users a better chance of getting tickets during peak demand.
Traffic has increased, ticketing has been easy
It seems that these changes are proving to be effective. The daily average login increased to 82.57 lakhs in FY 2024-25, which was 69.08 lakhs last year. During the same period, daily ticket booking also increased by about 12 percent. E-ticketing is now 86.38 percent of all reserved booking.
