
Mumbai – 30 -year -old Darshan Sheth committed suicide by jumping from a car on Worli’s Coastal Road. Police recovered his body. Darshit was married just four months ago. However, the exact cause of suicide could not be ascertained during the investigation. Before committing suicide, the young man called home and told that he would arrive late from the office.
The incident took place on the Bosting Arc Bridge. Which connects the coastal road to the Bandra-Worli Sea link. Rajubhai Seth (age 30), a resident of Malad, was a graduate. He worked in a private company at the Bandra-Kurla complex.
Senior Police Inspector Ravindra Katkar of Worli Police Station said that the deceased was shown to be married in November last year and is survived by his mother, wife and sister. My sister was also married. The young man called at home on Tuesday and said that he would be late to reach work, then he came to the bridge in his car.
Another police officer said that after the office, Seth took his car and went towards the Bandra-Worli Sea link and parked it on the Arch Bridge. A traffic warden saw the parking light of his car burning and started walking towards him. But before he could reach the car, Seth jumped into the sea.
The warden informed the police personnel posted near the bridge about the incident. Rescue operations were launched with the help of Coast Guard and Navy. Finally in the morning Sheikh’s body was found on a rock near the beach. Police sent the body to the hospital for post -mortem.
Senior Police Inspector Ravindra Katkar further said that no suicide note has been found from the deceased’s car or house. The police questioned his family, relatives and friends, but the exact cause of suicide is not yet known. The police is also investigating the mobile phone records of the deceased. Thus, a detailed investigation into the matter is underway.
