The BJP has accused the Congress-led Karnataka government of nepotism. Leader of Opposition in the Assembly R. Ashoka in a tweet on social media X said, “90 cabinet grade posts have been created in violation of the Constitution to suppress the rebellion of MLAs. Now this government has created a new post for minister son-in-law. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, you are the weakest Chief Minister Karnataka has ever had. Apart from wasting public money, you are giving high posts to relatives of MLAs and ministers. How long will this continue? Before people revolt against you, save the dignity of the post and also the honor of the state by resigning.”
