Robbery in Amritsar: Fearless robbers targeted a cold store in Amritsar. On Tuesday night, a robbery took place at a cold store in village Ibn Kalan on Jhabal Road. The surprising thing is that about 30-35 robbers had come to carry out the robbery. The miscreants took the security personnel posted at the cold store hostage. Then they easily looted dry fruits worth about two crore rupees.
These robbers came in two trucks. On Wednesday morning, when the owner and other employees of the cold store came to work, they saw that the security personnel had been taken hostage and all the goods kept there were missing.
After this, Chatiwind police station was immediately informed. The police reached the spot and registered a case against the unknown robbers. At present, the police is scanning the nearby CCTV cameras to trace the robbers.
In a complaint to the police, Happy Arora said that he has a cold store in Iban Kalan. More than a hundred traders of Majitha Mandi Grocery Association keep their goods here. Private security personnel are also deployed for the security of the store.
On Tuesday night around 2 o'clock, two trucks loaded with weapons arrived at the cold store and as soon as they arrived, they took the security personnel hostage by showing them pistols and threatening to shoot them. After this, between 2:30 and 4 o'clock, the robbers loaded all the goods in the truck and fled away.
SSP Rural Charanjit Singh said that a case has been registered and CCTVs are also being checked. Apart from this, suspects are also being detained and questioned so that any information about the robbers can be obtained. His team is constantly engaged in tracking down the robbers. The accused will be arrested soon.
