Nawada, 17 August (HS). The theft case in Dhamani High School of the district has been solved. Police have recovered 10 stolen computers, UPS and CPU on Saturday. Two thieves have also been arrested.
A country-made pistol, an Apache bike and a pickup stolen from Jamui district have also been recovered from the thieves. Three blades and a knife have also been recovered. The arrested accused have admitted their involvement in the crime.
In a press release issued by Nawada police, it has been told that Kauakol police station case number 279/24 has been solved. In the registered case, on August 10, the lock of Dhamani High School of the police station area was broken and 10 computer sets kept in the school were stolen.
While the police were investigating the incident, on 15 August, on the Independence Day itself, the Kauakol police station received information about the theft of a pickup from the Garhi police station area of Jamui district.
The police took immediate action and cordoned off the area and started further action. During this, a driver was arrested along with a pickup and a liner from Bindipur police station area. During the investigation of the arrested criminal's seized mobile, the police received a footage of him planning to rob another school.
On that basis, the police strictly interrogated both of them. Then both of them confessed to stealing the computer from Dhamani High School. Both of them told that they had committed the theft in Dhamani High School along with several other friends.
The arrested criminals have been identified as Kaushal Kumar, son of Rajendra Yadav, resident of Madhurapur village of Kauakol police station area and Rahul Kumar, son of Kameshwar Yadav.
Police is conducting raids to arrest other accused involved. Both the arrested miscreants have a criminal history. Cases are already registered against both of them in Garhi police station of Jamui district and Kauakol police station of Nawada district.
According to Nawada police, arrested accused Kaushal has one vehicle theft case registered against him in Kauakol and one in Garhi of Jamui district under Indian Penal Code. Rahul Yadav has theft cases registered against him under various sections in Kauakol police station case no. 152/24, 279/24 and Garhi police station case no. 96/24.
