Neighboring country Bangladesh is once again in trouble. Massive protests started again on Saturday morning. The protesters have now surrounded the Supreme Court of Bangladesh in Dhaka and all the judges including the Chief Justice have been asked to resign within an hour. In view of the protest, Chief Justice Obedul Hasan has decided to resign from the post of Chief Justice. He will submit his resignation in the evening after consulting President Mohammad Shahabuddin.
Violent protests begin in Dhaka
During the protest that started in Dhaka, the protesters warned that if the judges and Chief Justice Obedul Hasan did not resign, their residences would be surrounded. Sheikh Hasina was forced to resign from the post of Prime Minister after the recent violent protests in Bangladesh. On Saturday, hundreds of protesters surrounded the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. Most of the protesters are students and are demanding the resignation of the Chief Justice with immediate effect.
This angered the protestors
It was revealed that the Chief Justice had called a full court meeting, which angered the protesters. Hundreds of protesters, including students and lawyers, began marching towards the Supreme Court. One protester then claimed that the Chief Justice was plotting to declare the interim government illegal.
