Firozabad, 10 August (HS). Braj Uday Yojana will show the way to progress to the handicraft business of women craftsmen of Suhagnagari. Through this scheme, the economic condition of women craftsmen making glass toys will be strengthened. This will improve their lives.
Braj Uday Yojana was started at the divisional level about 3 months ago by Commissioner Ritu Maheshwari to promote the marketing and sale of products prepared by women craftsmen associated with self-help groups. Now under this scheme, two products of Suhagnagari have been selected in the One District One Product. The glass lamp prepared by mosaic art and the idol of Lord Krishna being made from glass have been selected by the district level committee. The commissioner has also given the green signal at the divisional level.
Under the Braj Uday Yojana, women craftsmen associated with self-help groups have been added in the district. According to District Magistrate Ramesh Ranjan, arrangements are being made at the divisional level for branding and sale of glass products prepared by these women craftsmen associated with Firozabad groups. Apart from this, markets will also be made available to them in the district. Sales centers will be set up for their products in hotels of different names. This will improve the financial condition of these women craftsmen.
