Many terrorists have escaped from Bangladesh jails. There are reports that these terrorists can infiltrate into India, due to which the BSF has been alerted on the border.
After the removal of Sheikh Hasina's government from power in Bangladesh, Indian security agencies are on full alert. The Indian borders with Bangladesh are being monitored with utmost vigilance. The BSF has issued an alert on the borders of its surveillance area. Security forces have been asked to keep a strict vigil to prevent infiltration.
DG took control of the situation
An official said that the BSF has been directed to maintain vigil on the 4,096 km long border. BSF Director General Daljit Singh Chaudhary and other senior officers along with him reached West Bengal to review India-Bangladesh border security and announced necessary guidelines after a meeting with top officials. The DG also visited the border of North 24 Parganas district.

10-15 Bangladeshi intruders tried to enter India near Amudiya border post on the India-Bangladesh border in 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. All such sensitive entry points have been marked and special vigilance has been asked to be maintained. In view of the possibility of infiltration attempt from Bangladesh, special surveillance is being kept on Malupara, Haldarpara, Banpur and Matiyari in Nadia district. The border post areas of Charmarashi in Murshidabad district and Sasni in Malda district have also been declared sensitive. BSF has also established contact with Border Guards Bangladesh.
