According to NASA sources, the cornea (the outermost part of the eye – retina), lens and optic nerve of both the eyes of Sunita Williams have been medically examined on the ISS.

Sunita is in danger of losing her eyesight

According to ophthalmologists, due to the effect of the gravitational force of space on astronauts, the load on their brain, eyes and other organs increases. Sometimes there is a risk of the shape of the eye changing. Apart from this, if exposed to the gravitational force of space for a very long time, it can also cause permanent blindness.

Decreased bone density

According to NASA sources, Sunita Williams has a bone density problem. The lack of these two natural elements weakens her bones and makes her unable to stand and maintain balance.
