Sunita William Return Date: NASA's Indian-origin astronauts Sunita Williams and Barry Wilmore have been stranded in space for almost two months. Both astronauts are currently in the International Space Station (ISS). Both astronauts left for the first test of the Boeing Starliner, but were unable to return due to a malfunction in the spacecraft. However, now the US space agency NASA has only 16 days left to bring back both the astronauts.

16 days are left to bring the astronaut back safely

NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Barry Wilmore are 16 days away from returning safely to the International Space Station (ISS). Their Boeing Starliner spacecraft is currently stuck at the ISS due to technical problems.

Worrying news that Sunita is having vision and bone problems

The astronauts have been stranded in space for more than 50 days, due to which there are reports of their health deteriorating. According to NASA sources, the cornea (the outermost part of the eye – retina), lens and optic nerve of both the eyes of Sunita Williams have been medically examined on the ISS.

Sunita is in danger of losing her eyesight

According to ophthalmologists, due to the effect of the gravitational force of space on astronauts, the load on their brain, eyes and other organs increases. Sometimes there is a risk of the shape of the eye changing. Apart from this, if exposed to the gravitational force of space for a very long time, it can also cause permanent blindness.

Decreased bone density

According to NASA sources, Sunita Williams has a bone density problem. The lack of these two natural elements weakens her bones and makes her unable to stand and maintain balance.

The astronauts have been stranded since June 5

The Boeing Starliner spacecraft carried the two astronauts to the International Space Station on June 5. The mission of Sunita Williams and Barry Wilmore lasted only eight days, but the return of the astronauts was delayed due to helium leak and thruster malfunction. This was the first flight of Boeing Starliner. Sunita Williams and Barry Wilmore have been stranded in space for almost two months. Now NASA has very little time left to solve this problem.
