India Sri Lanka ODI Series: India suffered a humiliating defeat in the second match of the three-match ODI series between India and Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka won the match by 32 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the series. Sri Lanka's win against India comes after 1108 days as they last defeated India in July 2021.

The first match of the three-match ODI series was a tie and the second match was won by Lanka. This means that India will have to win the third and final ODI match to level the series, which will be played on August 7. In the third ODI, Rohit Sharma and company will have to put pressure on Eddie Chotti to maintain the 27-year-old record of the Indian team.

This is the first time since 2006 that an Indian team will not win an ODI series against Sri Lanka. During India's tour of Sri Lanka in 2006, all three matches were washed out due to rain and the series ended at 0-0. Rohit Sharma and his team will now have to try to maintain the 27-year-old record as India have not lost any ODI bilateral series against Sri Lanka since 1997.
