Paris Olympics: Indian golfer Diksha Dagar narrowly escapes car accident

Paris, August 01 (HS). Indian golfer Diksha Dagar, who will compete in the individual stroke play event at the Paris Olympics 2024, was hit by another vehicle but she is completely fine. She will participate in her event as per schedule. Diksha's parents and brother were in the car at the time of the collision, all are fine.

Actually, Indian golfer Diksha Dagar, who is going to compete in the individual stroke play event in the Paris Olympic Games from 7-10 August, was going somewhere in Paris city with her father Colonel Narinder Dagar, brother on the midnight of 30-31 July. Then a vehicle hit their car fiercely. The golfer's mother has suffered a minor spinal injury, everyone else is fine. The Indian Golf Association is helping Diksha and her family in every way.

Brijinder Singh, President of the Indian Golf Association, said, “We spoke to Diksha's father Colonel Dagar after the accident and confirmed that the family is safe. Diksha's mother has suffered spinal strain due to the collision, she is under medical supervision. All other family members are safe and healthy.”

Brijinder Singh said that on behalf of the Indian Golf Union, I would like to reiterate that we are in constant touch with the family and will continue to provide whatever possible assistance in this situation. He expressed happiness that a talent like Diksha will represent the country at the Olympics for the second time as per schedule. On behalf of the IGU and the golf fraternity and fans, I wish her all the best for a memorable performance.
