On Thursday, based on the complaint of the victimised married woman, the police under Khuthan police station registered a case under various sections of dowry harassment against her husband, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law and sister-in-law and started searching for the accused.

Married woman Anuradha Nishad, who came to her father's house in Rawatpur village in a distraught state from her in-laws' house a week ago, told her mother the story of the harassment she was facing. After the consent of her maternal family, the victim lodged a complaint in the police station on Thursday and alleged that she was married to Pradeep, son of Ramdhari Nishad, a resident of Hinduabad village in Karaundi Kala police station area of ​​Sultanpur district in the year 2022. Within a few months of reaching her in-laws' house, she was harassed to bring two lakh rupees and a bullet motorcycle in dowry from her maternal home.

A week ago, she was beaten up and thrown out of the house by her in-laws. She is living at her parental home. Based on the allegations, the police have registered a case against mother-in-law Geeta, husband Pradeep, brother-in-law Ranjit, brother-in-law Sandeep, sister-in-law Kumari Devi and sister-in-law Chanda. In this case, Shahganj jurisdiction officer Ajit Singh Chauhan said that the matter is under cognizance, the case has been registered and necessary legal action is being taken. The matter is being investigated.
