The National Commission for Women (NCW) itself took cognizance of a media report titled “Truck throws gravel on 2 women in Madhya Pradesh, trying to bury them alive”. One of the victims, Asha Pandey (25), told the police that she had a dispute with her father-in-law Gaukaran Pandey over the right of way on their joint land. On Sunday, Gaukaran Pandey and brother-in-law Vipin Pandey brought murum in a Hiva to build a road on the disputed land.
