An army jawan died due to electric shock while servicing his vehicle

Barmer, 22 July (HS). A case has come to light of an army soldier dying due to electric shock while servicing a vehicle in Jaliapa Cantt. His colleagues brought him to the hospital. There the doctors declared him dead. On receiving the information, the rural police station reached the spot. The body of the soldier has been kept in the hospital mortuary. The police have registered a case on the report. Investigation has been started.

According to Head Constable Gulab Khan, Diwakar (35) son of Ramsarai, a resident of Gorakhpur district of Uttar Pradesh, was posted as a Naik in Jaliapa Cantt of Barmer. On Sunday evening, while servicing vehicles inside the Cantt, Naik Diwakar got hit by an electric current. The Jawan was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. But the Jawan died there. On receiving the information, the rural police station reached the hospital. The police kept the body of the Jawan in the mortuary of the Medical College Hospital.
