Ministerial Employees Union on indefinite strike

Koderma, 22 July (HS). The Sub-Secretariat Employees Union has gone on an indefinite strike from Monday over their demands. Due to this, the work of various blocks and zonal offices of the district including Koderma Collectorate has come to a standstill. During this time, people associated with the union reached Koderma Collectorate and raised slogans in support of their demands.

The Sub-Secretarial Staff Union went on strike over its nine-point demands, which included demands like increasing the grade pay of lower division clerk from Rs. 1900 to Rs. 2400, grade pay of upper division clerk to Rs. 4200, grade pay of head clerk to Rs. 4600, grade pay of office superintendent to Rs. 4800 and grade pay of administrative officer to Rs. 5400, in the light of recommendations of the high level committee approved by the government.
