Anti-encroachment drive launched in Ranchi, goods confiscated

Ranchi, July 22 (HS). The enforcement team of Ranchi Municipal Corporation, the district administration and the traffic police jointly carried out an encroachment-free campaign from Bariatu Petrol Pump to Hill View Chowk via RIMS Chowk on Monday. During this, the goods of shops, handcarts and vegetable vendors standing in the no-wedding zone were confiscated. Also, illegal temporary shops were removed.

During this campaign, two tables, two counters, one kiosk, one dozen plastic crates were confiscated. Apart from this, a total fine of Rs 5500 was imposed for spreading dirt and encroachment. After this campaign, the corporation team instructed all the vendors not to encroach on the roads again in future. This campaign was run on the instructions of Administrator Amit Kumar.
