Ellisbridge robbery case solved, Ahmedabad crime branch arrests two men, seizes Rs 36 lakh

Ahmedabad Crime: Ahmedabad Crime Branch has arrested two accused who looted Rs 40 lakh by firing on people of Angadia firm in Ellisbridge area of ​​Ahmedabad on July 10. An amount of Rs 36,08,500 has been recovered from both the accused.

According to the information received, two employees of the city's R Kantilal Angadia firm were going to the office located on CG Road in a hired rickshaw after taking money from Jamalpur market on July 10. Meanwhile, at 3:30 pm, on the road going from Kalgi Char Road to Low Garden Char Road, two unknown attackers threw chilli on the employees of Angadia firm, injured them by firing from an air gun and looted the employees. They looted the bag of Angadia firm containing Rs 40 lakh. In this regard, Ellisbridge police has registered a case under various sections.

To solve this serious crime quickly, an investigation was conducted by the Ahmedabad Crime Branch. Meanwhile, under the leadership of the Crime Branch Police Inspector, his SCOD pos RL Odedara A.K.Pathan and Technical pos Kuldeep Parmar and SCOD personnel formed different teams as per the information received from the crime scene, CCTV footage and robbery, based on the details of the vehicle used in the robbery and identification of the accused and technical analysis. Meanwhile, after examining the footage of more than 400 CCTV cameras and the vehicle number, it was found that the Activa used by the robber Ismo for the robbery had a duplicate number plate. Also, the Activa was also stolen and after the robbery, the accused went to the Fatewadi area and changed the clothes worn during the robbery and kept them in the trunk of the Activa and fled from there. And it was found that the accused used different shuttle rickshaws to go to their homes. Apart from this, to avoid CCTV, Saru got down a little distance away and went to Danilimda area in another rickshaw. On the basis of which investigation was done through human sources.

Meanwhile, based on information, accused Zafar Iqbal Niaz Ahmed Rangrez, 38, resident of Shah Alam and Mohammad Javed alias Jabbo Mohammad Hanif Rangrez, 38, resident of Danilimda, were arrested from the gate of Danilimda Barrel Market. Activa number GJ-01-EF-1771 used in the robbery and Rs 35,58,500 cash and two mobile phones totalling Rs 36,08,500 were seized from the two accused.

During interrogation of both the accused, they accepted that they were sitting under the Jamalpur bridge for the last three months and the people of the Angadia family were calculating which vehicle brought so much money, from which vehicle and where. To carry out the robbery, a white coloured Activa was stolen from the Riverfront Sunday Market one and a half months ago and by bringing black colour spray from the hardware, its number plate was changed and the Activa was painted black. On the afternoon of 10th July, both of them came down from the Jamalpur bridge with the stolen Activa. According to the previous report, two people of R Kantilal Angadia firm were going to their office on CG Road after taking money from the traders from Jamalpur market and were going in a rented rickshaw from under the bridge. At present, efforts have been started to arrest both the accused and hand them over to the Ellisbridge police station.
