Tree plantation drive was conducted in memory of Kargil heroes

Jammu, July 16 (HS). On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, the Indian Army carried out a tree plantation drive in Buffliaz, Naili and Tan in Poonch district in honor of the brave Kargil heroes. School children actively participated in this initiative based on the theme 'Kargil Vijay Diwas' which aimed to increase the green cover of the area and promote awareness against deforestation. The students enthusiastically planted saplings, contributed to environmental efforts and set an example for their peers and community members.

During the event, teachers, students and forest department officials praised the Indian Army for this noble initiative. They pledged to adopt and care for each sapling, ensuring their growth and maintenance in the future. This collective commitment to environmental conservation is an important step towards a greener and more sustainable region.
