Ranchi, July 14 (HS). Independent candidate Uday Shankar Khavade, who came third in the Godda Lok Sabha elections, joined JDU along with hundreds of his supporters. State President and MP Khiru Mahato made him join the party on Sunday. In his address, Khavade said that he fought the last election on the ideology of socialism and he was very impressed by the way Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar played an important role in forming the government at the Center.
Today the country needs leaders like Nitish Kumar. He recalled the struggle of Khiru Mahto and said that this time JDU will do a very good job in the Jharkhand elections under his leadership.
