Ahmedabad News: There was a fire incident two days ago in Shanti Asiatic School located in Shela area near Bhopal in Ahmedabad. The school hid the matter. Due to which the parents created a ruckus. After the uproar of the parents, the District Education Officer has ordered an investigation and has decided to close Shanti Asiatic School till the investigation is completed. Online education will be provided to the school students.
The fire incident happened yesterday: Guardian
A large number of parents reached Shanti Asiatic School in Shela area today and created a ruckus. The parents allege that yesterday, Thursday, July 11, a fire broke out in one of the classes of the school. Due to which the children got scared. On the other hand, a statement from the school director Abhay Ghosh has come out, in which he has said that the fire incident was hidden so that the children do not face any problems.
Every type of verification will be done:
The entire matter of the DEO fire incident reached the District Education Officer. He has said that prima facie the school's negligence is visible in this incident. All kinds of investigation and verification will be done. The complaint of the parents has been taken into cognizance. According to Ahmedabad Rural DEO, permission to open the school will be given only after ascertaining whether the school building is safe or not. It has been decided that till then the schools will remain closed and online education will be provided.
The fire department will investigate the school fire incident
After this, the Ahmedabad Fire Department conducted an inspection in the school. On Thursday afternoon at around 3:30 pm, a fire broke out in an electric junction box near a passage on the second floor. Fire extinguishers were used by the fire safety staff in the school. The small fire in the electric box was extinguished. The children were brought down when smoke started coming out of the box. However, the fire department was not informed about the incident. An investigation was conducted today and the school operators were instructed to immediately inform the fire department if such an incident occurs in future.
