11 assembly seats…12 candidates, will there be chaos again in Maharashtra?

Voting is to be held on July 12 for 11 Legislative Council seats in Maharashtra. This election has been interesting. Here 12 candidates have entered the fray for 11 seats. In such a situation, it is being speculated that there will be cross voting as well. Before this, the opposition Mahavikas Aghadi alliance is completely in alert mode. Preparations are underway to send the MLAs to the resort before the voting. This is being done because NDA leaders may try to contact them. Congress, Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena and Sharad Pawar's NCP are planning to keep the MLAs in hotels.

The leaders of the three parties decided their strategy

Not only this, MLAs of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's party Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar's Nationalist Congress Party can also be asked to stay in the same hotel. This is being done so that there is no horse-trading of MLAs in any way. The most interesting thing is that the fear of MLAs breaking away is not from one side but from both sides. After the Lok Sabha elections, there are many leaders in the BJP-led NDA whose mind is now changing. In such a situation, many MLAs can show loyalty to another party in the assembly elections. Be it NDA or Mahavikas Aghadi, everyone is on alert mode.

CM Eknath Shinde's meeting was held

Let us tell you that two days ago a meeting was held between Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar. In this meeting, the leaders of the three parties decided their strategy. Not only this, the voting pattern was also decided. The Bharatiya Janata Party performed very well in the 2022 Rajya Sabha and Legislative Council elections. At that time the command of the state was in the hands of Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis. On the basis of this experience, the NDA has again handed over the command to Fadnavis.

12 candidates contested for 11 seats

Despite not having enough numbers in 2022, the Bharatiya Janata Party added 3 Rajya Sabha seats and 5 Legislative Council seats to its numbers. Currently, 12 candidates are in the fray for 11 seats. Out of which 5 are from BJP. Apart from this, there are two candidates each from Eknath Shinde's party Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar's party. At the same time, one candidate each is in the fray from the three parties of the opposition Mahavikas Aghadi.
