BJP made an old veteran of Congress a minister, another one got a chance, cabinet expansion in Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Expansion: The cabinet of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has been expanded in Madhya Pradesh. In which Ramniwas Rawat, who left Congress and joined BJP, was made a minister today (July 8). He took oath as a cabinet minister. There is also talk of making Kamlesh Shah, who left Congress and joined BJP from Amarwada of Chhindwara, a minister.

Ramniwas Rawat, who was a six-time MLA from Vijaypur seat of Madhya Pradesh, was counted among the veteran leaders of the Congress. On April 30 this year, he left the Congress and joined the BJP. Rawat, who contested the Lok Sabha elections from Morena in 2019, has been the working president of Madhya Pradesh Congress. He has also been a minister in the Digvijay Singh government.

Three more posts vacant in cabinet

There is talk of making Kamlesh Shah, who joined BJP from Congress from Amarwara of Chhindwara, a minister. According to sources, if he wins the by-election, then another cabinet expansion can take place. There can be a total of 34 ministers in Madhya Pradesh. After Ramniwas took oath, now 31 ministers have been made. Three more posts are vacant in the cabinet.
