Indore, July 6 (HS). On Saturday, an award ceremony was organized for two great personalities Dr. Rajesh Mishra and late Dr. Ajay Mishra at the renowned Government Dental College Indore. Dr. Rajesh Mishra, Member of Parliament from Sidhi, Madhya Pradesh, received his BDS degree from Government Dental College Indore in 1980.
In the beginning, the Principal of the college Dr. Sandhya Jain in her welcome address congratulated Dr. Rajesh Mishra for this historic achievement and requested him to get help from the Government of India to make the Government Dental College a Center of Dental Excellence. A large number of dentists, former principals of the college and students were present in this program.
Dr. Rajesh Mishra said that in my childhood I had to walk 8-10 kms for primary education. I am still getting the benefit of this. I can devote 24 hours to any work. Man always has to struggle but the one who has passion achieves his goal.
He said that nowadays it is necessary for a person to have humanity. Instead of shortening someone else's line, one should lengthen his own line. I am fortunate that I have been a student of the Dental College. I have learnt a lot from my teachers and friends. I will always be indebted to this college and will give my full support for the development of the college.
On this occasion, former teacher of the college Dr. Ajay Mishra was honoured posthumously. His honour was handed over to his wife Saroj Mishra. Dr. Ajay Mishra had served as the Head of the Department of Pediatrics at Government Dental College, Indore. He had installed LED TV in the medical college at his own expense. In his last days, he donated his body for the students of Mahatma Gandhi Medical College, Indore to study.
On this occasion, Dr. Shashi Gandhi, Dr. Arvind Ghanghoria, former Principal of the college Dr. V.P. Jalili, Dr. B.M. Srivastava, Dr. Subhash Garg, Dr. Deshraj Jain, senior dentist Dr. Prakash Dixit, Dr. Shailendra Bhandari, Dr. K.C. Sahu, Dr. G.S. Parihar, Dr. H.C. Neema, Dr. Dhodapkar, Dr. Ankur Mukherjee were also present. Dr. Sandhya Jain read out the citation and Dr. Manish Verma introduced the guests. In the end, Dr. Jaya Joshi expressed her gratitude. At the beginning of the program, about 100 saplings were planted in the college campus.
