Sant Samiti held Narayan Sarkar responsible for Hathras incident

Varanasi, 04 July (HS). The All India Sant Samiti has held Narayan Sarkar Hari alias Bhole Baba responsible for the Hathras incident. Expressing grief over the incident, the National General Secretary of the Samiti, Swami Jitendranand Saraswati said that “The biggest issue is that where have those who run projects like superstition, blind faith, discrimination and inequality eradication disappeared today? Why are the great Dalit leaders of Maharashtra silent now? Twenty young women have also been accused of disappearing in the chaos caused by the incident. Along with this, many other serious allegations are also being made. In such a situation, a thorough investigation of all these allegations is very necessary.

The committee's national general secretary alleged that the alleged baba forced his followers to walk on sand in the name of giving his charan raj to them, which led to a stampede and people were injured. Swami Jitendrananda demanded that if this incident is true, an FIR should be lodged for conspiracy to murder. He said that Narayan Sarkar used to bathe in milk and kheer was made from that milk, which was distributed to the followers. He said, “This is happening only because this person is a Dalit. Where are the so-called intellectuals, who were attacking Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, hiding now?”

Swami Jitendrananda demanded from the Uttar Pradesh government that any kind of scheme promoting superstition should not be allowed. He advised the government to take precautionary measures to control the crowd on the occasion of Guru Purnima and avoid any kind of conspiracy or disorder. The government should take precautionary measures 15 days in advance. In a city like Varanasi alone, more than 10 lakh people visit Garhwaghat. The same number of devotees are present in Trikund and Padav Peeth. Apart from this, there are many such monasteries and peeths in the city where 10-15 thousand disciples go to seek blessings from their guru. There are 16 major pilgrimage areas in Uttar Pradesh, where long queues of devotees are seen. In this crowd, there should be no conspiracy, no kind of disorder.
