The postal department is connecting people with various welfare schemes of the government: PMG

Varanasi, 04 July (HS). Krishna Kumar Yadav, Postmaster General (PMG) of Varanasi region said that post offices are playing the role of mobile banks today to connect the last person of the society with the concept of financial inclusion, digital India and Antyodaya. The postal department is now delivering all the welfare schemes of the government and their benefits to the people along with letters and parcels. PMG was addressing the 'Financial Inclusion Fair' organized in Ghazipur district on Thursday as the chief guest.

During this 'Financial Inclusion Fair', the Postmaster General provided passbooks and policy bonds to the beneficiaries of Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, Mahila Samman Savings Certificate and Postal Life Insurance. He also encouraged the postal workers who did excellent work by felicitating them. While distributing the passbook of 'Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana' to the daughters, he said that through this, if the daughters become self-reliant, then the concept of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' will also be realized. He told that all the leading schemes of the Government of India have been implemented prominently through post offices. Along with letters and parcels, the Postal Department is doing many people-oriented works like savings bank, postal life insurance, India Post Payments Bank, post office passport service center, Aadhaar enrollment and update, common service center, postal export center. Through IPPB, the postman and rural postal workers are working as a mobile bank today.

Earlier, Post Superintendent PK Pathak welcomed the Postmaster General and other guests and gave information about the progress of postal services in Ghazipur.

On this occasion, Superintendent Post Office P.K. Pathak, Assistant Superintendent Sanjay Kumar Singh, Sub-Divisional Inspector Ashutosh Kumar, Vicky Kumar, Dilip Pandey, Aniket Ranjan, Postmaster Ghazipur Head Post Office P.K. Rai etc. were also present.
