Kathua, 02 July (HS). While on one hand animal smugglers and those who torture mute animals are active every day, on the other hand the local youth are always ready to teach them a lesson.
The latest case is from industrial area Ghati of district Kathua where a bus driver ran over three innocent cattle and escaped. And all three cattle died a painful death on the road. Former Sarpanch Ravindra Singh and some youths got information about this accident. After which they reached the spot and seeing the accident their anger reached the seventh sky. They informed Kathua police about this incident and chasing the bus with their companions reached near Dream Park of Kathua city and caught the driver and beat him up. After this the driver was taken back to the spot. There the driver also accepted his mistake and apologized. Later Kathua police reached the spot and they arrested the driver. Former Sarpanch Ravindra Singh said that earlier the animal smugglers did not stop in Kathua district and now those who run away after running over these innocent animals on the road will also not be spared.
He told that the bus driver was passing through the industrial area valley at a high speed, meanwhile he ran over three innocent cattle sitting on the road and fled from the spot. After chasing him, he was caught at Dream Park in Kathua. He said that accidents happen often but as a matter of humanity, the driver should have stopped after the accident and treated the cattle with the help of local people. But instead of doing so, he fled from the spot and the three innocent cattle kept on suffering and died a painful death. He has appealed to the district administration and police administration to take strict action against such people so that no one shows such cruelty in future.
