Punjab Weather Update: Monsoon has arrived in Punjab and is continuously progressing. At the speed at which the monsoon is progressing, it will cover the entire Punjab in the next 3 days. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has issued alerts from time to time regarding rain in various districts of Punjab.
Amidst all this, the temperature in Punjab has become normal, but the humidity has started troubling people. According to the information released by the Meteorological Department, after Majha and Doaba of Punjab, the monsoon has started knocking in Malwa on July 1.
Monsoon has spread all over Chandigarh. After this, monsoon has also reached Ludhiana and Rajpura. Although it has been many days since monsoon entered Punjab, there has been no rain yet except a few districts. In the last few days, Ludhiana and two days ago in Amritsar, about 47 MM of rain fell. While most of the districts are yearning for rain. The temperature in the cities of Punjab has become normal but people are getting troubled by the humidity.
Yellow and Orange alert has been issued in these districts
The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert in 7 districts Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Fatehgarh Sahib, Rupnagar, Patiala, SAS Nagar. While a yellow alert has been issued for Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Sangrur, Malerkotla.
