This indigenous missile will destroy the enemies, will be included in Tejas-Rafale fighter jets – News India Live

The Indian Air Force is planning to add the Rudram-1 missile to its Rafale and Tejas Mk-1A fighter jets. Rudram-1 is a new generation anti-radiation missile (NGARM), designed for air-to-ground attack.

With the addition of this missile, the strength of the Indian Air Force will increase manifold. Because the Rudram missile is both supersonic and hypersonic. Talking about the Rudram-1 missile, this missile weighing 600 kg is 18 feet long. A pre-fragmented bomb weighing 55 kg has been installed in it. The range of the Rudram-1 missile is 150 km. This means that Rafale or Tejas fighter aircraft can carry out an air attack on the enemy from such a distance. They will not need to go close to the enemy's bases. This missile can also go above the launching point. That is, it goes from a height of one kilometer to 15 kilometers.

Missiles are made in the country, their speed is also dangerous!

Rudram-1 missile moves towards the target at a speed of Mach-2 i.e. 2470 km per hour. At present, it is planned to install it in Rafale and Tejas. But later the Air Force plans to install it in Tejas MK-2, AMCA and TEDBF fighter planes as well. At present, this missile is installed in MiG-29UPG, Dassault Mirage 2000 and Su-30MKI.

Tejas-MK1A Fighter Jet

Digital fly-by-wire flight control computer (DFCC) has been installed in Tejas MK-1A fighter jet. In simple language, DFCC means removing manual flight control from fighter planes and installing electronic interface. That is, the computer keeps the plane balanced according to the pilot while flying. Radar, elevator, aileron, flap and engine are controlled electronically by this system. Fly-by-wire stabilizes the fighter jet. This makes the plane safe.

Tejas equipped with modern facilities

The advanced version of the aircraft, Tejas Mk-1A, comes with features such as Advanced Mission Computer, High Performance Capable Digital Flight Control Computer (DFCC Mk-1A), Smart Multi-Function Display (SMFD), Advanced Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) Radar, Advanced Self-Protection Jammers, Electronic Warfare Suite, etc.

Although this fighter jet is similar to Tejas Mk-1, some things have changed in it. As is felt with sophisticated electronic warfare suite, excellent AESA radar, self-protection jammer, radar warning receiver. Apart from this, ECM pod can also be installed externally.

Speed of 2200 kmph, combat range of 739 km

Mark-1A is slightly lighter than the previous variant. But it is equally big in size. That is 43.4 feet long. 14.5 feet high. It can fly at a maximum speed of 2200 kilometers per hour. The combat range is 739 km. However, its ferry range is 3000 km.

This aircraft can reach a maximum height of 50 thousand feet. It has a total of 9 hard points. Apart from this, a 23 mm twin barrel gun has been installed. 9 different rockets, missiles, bombs can be installed in the hardpoint. Or you can mix them.

Strength of Rafale fighter jet

Rafale and Eurofighter were developed as fighter jets. But later France removed Rafale from this project. The Indian Air Force has 36 Rafale fighter planes. It is flown by one or two pilots. Its length is 50.1 feet, wingspan is 35.9 feet and height is 17.6 feet.

Its maximum speed is 1912 km/h. But the combat range is 1850 km. The operational range is 3700 km. Its maximum height can be up to 51,952 feet. It is capable of flying straight up to 305 meters in a second. It has a 30 mm autocannon, which fires 125 rounds per minute. Apart from this, it has 14 hardpoints. It can deploy air-to-air, air-to-ground, air-to-surface, nuclear deterrent missiles. Apart from this, many other types of bombs can also be deployed.
