While talking to leader of opposition of Nagar Nigam Hitanand Agrawal on Tuesday about water supply in Korba area, he said that road, electricity and water are the three basic facilities which are very important in our life. Life is not possible without these facilities. Out of this, central government has allocated about 500 crore rupees to Nagar Nigam Korba for water supply. But today the situation is such that water does not come for more than 10-15 minutes in any house of any ward of the entire Nagar Nigam area. It seems that the mayor along with his masters swindled 500 crore rupees of public money.
Hitanand Agrawal told that on asking the officials and employees, it is known that the work of filling the water tank is not organized. The water tank is not filled completely on any day. What kind of arrangement has the water distribution department of the Municipal Corporation made that even the water tanks are not filled completely, so that water can be distributed. People are troubled. The situation is such that the Municipal Corporation has to supply water to many localities through all its tankers. Due to which there is an atmosphere of quarrel in the settlements every day. Seeing the public getting troubled by these problems, the leader of opposition of the Municipal Corporation, Hitanand Agrawal wrote a letter to the Mayor and warned of agitation, that if the Mayor does not fix the water distribution system within 15 days, then there will be a massive protest with other councilors.
