The New Zealand team is out of this T20 World Cup. The Kiwi team lost two of its three matches. It was defeated by Afghanistan and West Indies. Bolt has said that this will be his last T20 World Cup. That is, he will not be seen playing in the T20 World Cup 2026. Bolt made this announcement in a press conference after the nine-wicket win over Uganda. He said- “This will be my last T20 World Cup. Bolt made his debut in 2011. Since then he has been the main bowler of the team. Bolt has participated in the finals in 4 seasons of the T20 World Cup since 2014.
Trent Boult's cricket career
It is not confirmed whether Bolt will now play for New Zealand or retire from any format. Bolt was out of the central contract in 2022. He chose this option himself. He is playing franchise cricket all over the world. Bolt is 34 years old. He has represented the country in 78 Tests, 114 ODIs and 60 T20 Internationals so far. He has taken 317 wickets in Tests, 211 in ODIs and 81 in T20 Internationals.
