Mumbai: Schools are starting from Saturday in other parts of the state except Vidarbha. However, the cloth for the uniform has not arrived yet. The measurements of the students have not been taken yet. In such a situation, the question arises whether the students will get the uniform on time i.e. on the first day.
Under the Sampoorna Shiksha Abhiyan, the uniform given to the students of class VIII has been changed. Till last year, the school management committee was given a grant of Rs 300 per uniform to provide regular uniforms to the students. Therefore, the students will get the uniform a day before the school starts. But this year the government has changed the uniform policy. Due to which the students are not able to get the uniform on time.
The measurements of the students have not been taken yet. In such a situation, how will the students get proper uniforms till the school starts. Perhaps the uniforms will be stitched keeping in mind the estimated measurements and if it does not fit the students, should the teachers face the anger of the parents? Teachers across the state are also raising such questions. Along with this, the responsibility of providing the uniform CV of the Scout Guide has also fallen on the schools. For this, the schools will have to pay a sewing fee of Rs 100 and the cloth will be provided by the administration, although the schools have also requested the Nagar Palika not to put this responsibility on the schools.
