A boy who went to take bath in Panchkula dam died due to drowning, his parents are crying inconsolably

A young man died after drowning in a dam located in Mandapa village of Raipur Rani in Panchkula district. The deceased youth has been identified as Shoaib, 17-year-old son of Jamil Khan, a resident of Samlehdi. The police has taken the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. There is mourning among the family members after the death of the youth.

According to the information received, the deceased youth had gone to Mandapa Dam to take bath with his four friends. It is being told that the youth did not know how to swim. While bathing, Shoaib went into deep water. He died due to drowning in deep water. As soon as the information of the incident was received, sensation spread in the surrounding area. After this, the police was informed about the matter.

The police officer said that they had received information about a child drowning in the dam, after which the police and NDRF team reached the spot. After the death of the youth, the body was taken out of the dam after 4 hours with the help of the NDRF team and the police administration. The police took the body into custody and sent it to Civil Hospital Sector 6 Panchkula for post-mortem.
