Time for candidates to decide, counting of votes will be fair

Bareilly, June 3 (HS). The time for decision on the candidates of Lok Sabha elections is near. The heartbeat of the candidates locked in EVMs has increased. Counting of votes will be done in Parsakheda on June 4. District Magistrate and District Election Officer Ravindra Kumar and SSP Ghule Sushil Chandrabhan held a briefing with the policemen in Parsakheda of the counting complex. District Election Officer Ravindra Kumar said that the administration has completed all the preparations for counting of votes. Counting of votes will be done fairly and transparently and employees and policemen have been put on duty to assist in this. While policemen and employees have been given the responsibility of strengthening security.

The District Election Officer gave necessary instructions regarding maintaining law and order at the counting venue and its surrounding areas as per the guidelines of the Election Commission. He said that everyone should take care of themselves in view of the heat. ORS has been arranged for the workers engaged in counting and all the counting agents so that no one falls ill due to the heat. During the briefing, instructions were given that traffic will be diverted from Mini Bypass and Jhumka Tiraha. Along with this, instructions were given that apart from the workers designated by the Commission for counting, no employee is allowed to carry mobile phones or other electronic devices inside the counting hall. Separate halls have been designated for food and water for the counting agents.

No one is allowed to take food, water bottle, etc. inside the counting hall. The health department has made complete arrangements for medicines, ORS, etc. inside the premises. During this, the SSP told all the policemen engaged in counting duty to take care of themselves keeping in mind the heat, go and check their duty beforehand, so that there is no problem in reaching their place on the day of counting and the police personnel who are on duty at the gate must check whether the person going inside the counting hall is carrying a water bottle, mobile or electronic gadget, etc.

No negligence should be shown in this. He said that all personnel should park their vehicles at the parking place only. On this occasion, Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Dinesh, Additional District Magistrate (Santosh Bahadur Singh), Additional District Magistrate (City) Saurabh Dubey, Superintendent of Police (City) Rahul Bhati and other concerned officers were present.
